Art of the prostate gland shows the parts in a coronal view.  The peripheral zone is outermost and most colorful, followed by the pearly white central and then the pink colored transitional zone.  The urethra and verumontanum is central and colored yellow.  The urethra extends into the base of the penis as the penile urethra.
