“Anatomy of Rain in the Sky at Sunrise” 

The sky is a rich resource for the artist.  The art is part of a series that explores the wonderful and sometimes weird sightings in the heavens.  It is also a rich resource for moods and inspiration; gray skies, blue skies, sunshine, the rain, sunrise and sunset

In this instance sunrise brings a shower of rain in the east.  The sun shining through the dark clouds illuminates other clouds and brings some hope.  

Rain is produced when humidity moves between regions of temperature. With enough moisture and upward motion, precipitation falls from clouds which have sufficient upward motion

The art piece is dominated by by falling rain and a rising sun that shines through and illuminates the vista.
