Description

“Bonding of the Base Pair” shows the evolving chemistry of the nucleus of the cell as the base pair bond. Each base pair consists of two nucleotides, each with a nucleobase (aka nitrogenous base), a five-carbon sugar, and a phosphate group.

In this instance adenine is the left sided (male) nucleobase and thymine has “receiving” morphology situated on the right side of the image. The sugar in this instance is deoxyribose.

Artistically  surrealism and spherism with 3D effect is used provide a sense of bonding and intimacy. The base pair Mr Adenine and Ms. Thymine have advanced from attraction to physical connection.  They are surrounded by nature, trees and mountains. The convex shape of adenine fits perfectly into the concave shape of thymine and the force of bonding results in a new unit.
