Description

“Rage-When Brain Control Loses Control; amygdala and frontal lobe of the brain” shows the human brain in the context of an explosive background.

The amygdala is set off (red star) and cannot be controlled by the frontal lobe which is red hot itself and cannot make rational decisions.

Bad things can  happen when this uncontrollable emotion takes place. This is a disease.

It happens in domestic situations, on the road, extreme idealists, and among religious zealots who will die or kill for an ego or an idea.

Anatomically the image shows the amygdala which is part of the basal ganglia and is the origin of the overbearing emotion of rage.  The forebrain which is the seat of judgement can be party to the rage or can cool the rage in the role of better judgement.  If it is ruled by the tone of the amygdala bad things can happen

Artistically the explosive background reflects the consequence of the interactions in the brain.

The style is reminiscent of surrealism with a brain floating majestically and mysteriously in the sky
