Nucleus Accumbens of the Brain. Sensation of Pleasure.

The nucleus accumbens is shown as a red dot at the base of brain near the hypothalamus. The nucleus accumbens is one of the most primitive part of the brain.  It is part of the  basal part of the forebrain.  It is a paired structure. Alcohol promotes pleasure by stimulating the nucleus accumbens.
