Description

The shape of the arch of the aorta crowned by the brachiocephalic arteries is appealing artistically.  Philosophically there is both upward and downward movement. and flow. The aortic valve guards and protects the direction of flow. The mechanism is a simple design but is one of innumerable miraculous mechanisms that keep a life together..  as the cusps fill with blood during diastole, they coapt preventing blood from flowing backward.
