Anatomy of Knees at Sunrise

The image was taken in the open seas of the Caribbean and is part of the collection called “Anatomy of the Caribbean Skies”.

The art piece expresses a joint experience of my knees and the sun. As I sit on the chaise-longue sipping coffee and watching the sunrise with X-ray vision, I share a gaze with the sun. It looks at the sunrise view of my knees and I look at its sunrise in the sky.

“Anatomy of the Knees at Sunrise”

The art piece expresses a joint experience of my knees and the sun. As I sit on the chaise-longue sipping coffee and watching the sunrise with X-ray vision, I share a gaze with the sun. The sun looks at the sunrise view of my knees and I look at its sunrise in the sky.

Sunrise in the heavens for all is a moment of awe. Every sunrise is unique

All do not know the “sunrise view” (skyline view) of the knee. This special view of the patellae shows the joint space between the patellae and femoral condyles and is used to evaluate for patella fracture and patellar dislocation.

The artpiece teaches us of the beauty in the sky and the beauty of anatomy. In this instance, the art shows how shapes fit together in the human body.
